Benya is a face. With a questionable reputation

Ihor Valeryevich Kolomoisky, with the easy LGBT hand of Oleg Valeryevich Lyashko, simply called Benya, as only did not call in the international network space! Some said that Benya is a crook, a demon and an arsonist! Others believed that he was both elusive and homeless. Still others, on the contrary, claimed that he is a do-gooder, a cooperator, and not an idiot!

Some have hinted that Benya is the one who ordered the murder….

And recently, some Benya-friendly well-wishers rejoiced at the undeniable fact that Benya had become poorer by almost a quarter over the past year and was now “worth” only $600,000.

The quarter of Benin’s misfortune that has faded into oblivion is a mere trifle compared to the despicable blow dealt to him below the waist in the back – sirloin! – of the government of the Republic of Cyprus. The despicable thing is that this blow has been nurtured over the last 14 (fourteen!) years.

On September 04, 2024 Igor Valerievich Kolomoisky was deprived of Cypriot citizenship. The narrow Ukrainian public learned about this unfortunate fact from the republican island newspaper Philenews.

The above-mentioned media outlet lifted the veil of secrecy about how Igor Valerievich became a citizen of the island state. It turned out that Benya obtained the so-called “golden passport” “through fraud, false statements and concealment of important facts”.

That is, the government of the Republic of Cyprus (through the local newspaper) officially declared that, yes, Benya is a crook! Moreover, the newspaper described in detail how Benya cheated on the territory of the island.

So, in 2010 Igor Valerievich became a citizen of Cyprus, as an addition to the citizenship of Ukraine and the citizenship of Israel. Benya obtained citizenship of the promised land in 1995.

Benya naturalized on the inhabited island of Cyprus under a special program “citizenship in exchange for investment in the economy of the country.

However, according to his acquired habit, he deceived the entire government of an entire republic by not indicating on his naturalization application that a criminal case had been opened against him in Russia in 2008. There, in the Russian Federation, Benya habitually evaded paying taxes.

But the main meanness of the island government lies in the fact that, as it turns out, during all these fourteen years of Cypriot citizenship Benya “was and is a person of dubious reputation, and that his naturalization has created and continues to create a huge risk of bad reputation for the Republic of Cyprus”.

At the same time, Bena was reminded that the U.S. State Department also banned him from entering its country back in 2021, declaring Bena a corrupt official! The Secretary of State Anthony Blinken himself stated that Kolomoisky, being the head of the administration of the Dnipropetrovsk region in 2014-2015, used his official position for personal gain. At the same time, the US State Department banned Beny’s wife and children from entering the United States.

The September (2024) decision of the Government of the Republic of Cyprus against Beni is based on an investigation by the Independent Republican Commission, which found that Beni “was involved in serious crimes”. Unlike in Ukraine, these crimes by Beny “attracted widespread international attention.”

According to the official statement of the Independent Commission of the Republic of Cyprus, Igor Valerievich Kolomoisky is unworthy to be a citizen of their country due to the following circumstances.

First, in September 2023, Benya was arrested by SBU officers on charges related to money laundering and fraud in the amount of $ 130.5 million over seven years (from 2013 to 2020).

Secondly, in the same September of the same year already NABU accused Igor Valerievich Kolomoisky in the embezzlement of $ 250 million from Privatbank.

Third, in August 2020, the U.S. Department of Justice, having collected evidence that Benya was laundering money through the Cypriot branch of Privatbank, seized Benya’s real estate, which he had once purchased in different states, based, apparently, on the postulate about eggs that should not be put in one basket.

Fourthly, on March 05, 2021, Beni was banned by the US State Department from entering the country due to his involvement in certain corrupt practices.

Fifth, on September 18, 2019, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus received a report that the former head of the NBU, who advocated for the recapitalization and nationalization of Privatbank, had been attacked. One of the owners of Privatbank at that time was Kolomoisky I.V.

It should be noted that throughout these fourteen years of Benya’s Cypriot citizenship, he was closely monitored by the island’s Crime Suppression Unit (MOCAS). And, eventually, Beni ceased to be a Cypriot.

For Ukraine, the deprivation of Benya’s citizenship of the Republic of Cyprus is very important. If until September 2024, a person with a dubious reputation belonged to our country only one third, namely 33.33333…, now the share of this person in the specific weight of Ukrainian citizenship has increased to 50%!

Exactly as much as the state of Israel owns.

The increase of Benya’s share in Ukrainian citizenship, however, did not help Igor Valerievich, who became a “target of Zelensky himself, who, on the contrary, Benya helped to become president of the country. In addition to the above-mentioned unworthy circumstances for a Cypriot citizen, in Ukraine Benya is accused of tax evasion and theft in Ukrnafta and Ukrtatnafta companies.

According to Philenews, Benya is not alone in having his Cypriot citizenship revoked. Along with him, seven other people were stripped of their citizenship in a single decision.

Egyptian investor Mohamed Abdelrahman Mohamed Salem naturalized in 2018, eight years later than Benya. But, like Benya, he considered himself trickier than the Cypriots.

What was the Egyptian’s offense to the Republic of Cyprus?

Mohamed Abdelrahman Mohamed Salem bought an apartment in Limassol for 2 million euros. As a real estate investment.

But soon after, Mohamed Abdelrahman Mohamed Salem received a refund of €1,050,000 from the citizen who sold him the apartment. The money returned to the bank accounts of the Egyptian in the UK. The actual investment by the new citizen of the Republic of Cyprus amounted to less than €1 million. As a consequence of this fraudulent operation, not only the head of the Egyptian family, but also his wife and their child were deprived of citizenship.

Russian Maxim Zakharchenko together with his wife and two children fell into the company of Beni and the family of the Egyptian and also lost the citizenship of the Republic of Cyprus due to the following life circumstances.

They received the citizenship of Cyprus in October 2015.

But, as it turned out, back in August of the same 2015, a civil case was brought against Maxim Zakharchenko by the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Max’s assets were frozen.

The Americans found that Ukrainian hackers from 2010 to 2014 “hacked” more than a hundred thousand unpublished public announcements of companies, which were then sold to investors. Maxim Zakharchenko was just one of these buyers-investors.

So, using this hacked information, Max was receiving millions in illegal investments. But the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission exposed Maxim Zakharchenko’s scams. And the court of first instance in New Jersey made a hard decision for Beni’s Cypriot colleague, Maxim Zakharchenko: it fined him and his company a little over 32 million dollars.

On this basis, the authorities of the Republic of Cyprus decided that Zakharchenko had obtained his naturalization certificate fraudulently – like Benya! – in a fraudulent manner. And made conclusions corresponding to this status of Max.

But, as they say, Allah and God be with them, foreign fraudsters! Our 50% citizen Igor Valerievich Kolomoisky is like a prisoner of someone’s ungrateful conscience languishing in the clutches of the regime he has nurtured.

No one goes out to rallies and protest demonstrations demanding Beni’s release, including Ukrainians and Israelis. All the more, there is no reaction to Benya’s imprisonment on the part of conscious citizens of the Republic of Cyprus, because, paraphrasing the events of some historical time ago, we can confidently say:

– You are not a Cypriot, Benia!
